The best age to start extra curricular activities?
Posted by: Aisha at 10:10AM CST on August 16, 2009

Given how expensive it is to sign up children for extracurricular activities, I was wondering which ages are the best to sign up a child for a sports team and piano lessons?

We did some sports classes when my son was three and it seemed like a waste of money. I'm thinking about starting soccer now that he's four. Good idea?

What's the best age to start piano lessons?

Thanks for any input.

Great info

The switch to full-day school
Posted by: Aisha at 12:35AM CST on August 2, 2009
My preschooler will be starting full-day in the fall, as opposed to part-time/half-day last year. How will I know if this schedule is too much for a four-year-old? Do they start acting out or seem tired all the time? He seems to be looking forward to the new classroom, but I'm anxious about having him gone so much of the day.
