Dirty CATS
Posted by: Robin Schmidt on May 8, 2009 at 4:34PM CST

I may be opening a "can o worms" here, (or should I say blowing the lid off the litterbox? lol, ) but  to tell you the truth I don't care for cats in general. I have always loved all animals but I can't figure out why so many people let these dirty things roam their homes! If you own a cat feel free to defend your kitty here but honestly the problems I have with cats....

They use their litter box, walk in filth and THEN walk on the kitchen countertops. I know countless cat owners who've all denied it happens but just as soon as I am in their home it HAPPENS! YUCK! They also get into food on the kitchen counter and lick from your faucets!  Also they play with toothbrushes and other personal items we use on a daily basis. It is a know fact that cats DO carry harmful diseases.  If you are a cat owner, how do you avoid all this? Or do you think it is cute like some of the cat owners I know?

Just think how the exposure to all those NASTY kitty germs helps build your immune system! They spread little bits of all kinds of germs around that your body has to defend itself against. I never thought much about the germ-side of cats until I read your post. I don't think it's as unsafe as you make it all sound. Yucky if you spend a lot of time dwelling on it, I suppose, but a person is exposed to lots and lots of germs from a lot of other sources every day anyway.
