Pokie's Journey to 2009

As the weekend winds down and the stresses that have surfaced subside, I am left with the thought in a poem I just read:
DID THEY KNOW
He took God with him
To work today
And no one else knew it, of course---
Or did they?
Could they sense it, I wonder,
In various ways
That made this day different
From other work days?
Could they tell it , perhaps
In the warmth of his smile
That, somehow, made even
The dull tasks worthwhile?
Would they feel how the calm
From that great hidden Source
Radiated its strength
Through the whole office force?
Did they know their small grievances
Melted away
All because he took God to work
With him today?

Maybe this Monday can be different from all the rest. Maybe some where in among the early morning confussion and the third cup of coffee, you might quite silently ask God if he'd like to visit your work place today and see if He smooths out the bumps of "Just Mondays" and the hours after....love Pokie
